Novel interface-selected waves and their influences on wave competitions

The topic of interface effects in wave propagation has attracted great attention due to their theoretical significance and practical importance. In this paper we study nonlinear oscillatory systems consisting of two media separated by an interface, and find a novel phenomenon: interface can select a type of waves (ISWs). Under certain well defined parameter condition, these waves propagate in two different media with same frequency and same wave number; the interface of two media is transparent to these waves. The frequency and wave number of these interface-selected waves (ISWs) are predicted explicitly. Varying parameters from this parameter set, the wave numbers of two domains become different, and the difference increases from zero continuously as the distance between the given parameters and this parameter set increases from zero. It is found that ISWs can play crucial roles in practical problems of wave competitions, e.g., ISWs can suppress spirals and antispirals

Influences of spin accumulation on the intrinsic spin Hall effect in two dimensional electron gases with Rashba spin-orbit coupling

In a two dimensional electron gas with Rashba spin-orbit coupling, the external electric field may cause a spin Hall current in the direction perpendicular to the electric field. This effect was called the intrinsic spin Hall effect. In this paper, we investigate the influences of spin accumulation on this intrinsic spin Hall effect. We show that due to the existence of boundaries in a real sample, the spin Hall current generated by the intrinsic spin Hall effect will cause spin accumulation near the edges of the sample, and in the presence of spin accumulation, the spin Hall conductivity will not have a universal value. The influences of spin accumulation on the intrinsic spin Hall effect in narrow strips of two dimensional electron gases with Rashba spin-orbit coupling are investigated in detail.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure

Sampling Deviation Real-time Calibration Method for Wideband Simulator

Hardware-in-the-loop simulation is an efficient method for research on radar system.Target’s echo which offered by the simulator should be synchronized with radar on frequency, time, and range bin. However, because simulator needs to take into account of the requirements of various types of radar, it is difficult to make the clock of simulator synchronized with the clock of radar. To solve the problem, synchronous sampling deviation model is established. Influence of sampling deviation on imaging is analyzed. An engineering method is put forward to eliminate the sampling deviation. This method not only provides a reference for simulation system, but also provides a reference for the design of radar system
